This is a name-dropping entry especially for [livejournal.com profile] zuzubailey76.

It struck me this evening that I never even wrote about the Simon and Garfunkel concert. Wow. Maybe there are no words, or maybe I just get distracted. Either way, it was really amazing - it was like living a dream, except that in this dream I got to make fun of Art Garfunkel a lot with whirledpeasPeas.

This weekend was pretty jam-packed. On Friday after work, Jennifer and I opted to go to Haiku for yummy sushis. On the way back, we stopped at wasted_breathSean and crushinatorBart's house to say hello, and ran into jwineJenny, Richard, and laughingsalMissy. We then went to opalexianLisa's house where we met up with Bob, communistaC4R4, foopirateJoe, and purplemanateeJoey. Then we went for Halloweeni Martinis at Bar Louie at Easton. Jen and I are too old, though, and left early to be big sleepies.

We chose not to dress up, though I was an "evil Republican."

They did Bad Things.

Yesterday we got up early to drop my car off at the dealer for scheduled maintenance, and then we ran all over the place running errands. Eventually we picked up my car and headed to the wedding reception slash housewarming party slash costume party hosted by the newlywedded laserkittyNikki and thinksnowEric. We saw [livejournal.com profile] crena and Scott there, which was good because we didn't know anyone else and I don't think I was particularly amusing. (And we weren't in costume. AGAIN.) We had to duck out early, though, because we had another engagement (sorry, guys!).

The "other engagement" was White Trash Date Night (how un-PC) with whirledpeasPeas and joyfulgrrl43210Sarah. We had planned to eat at a trashy restaurant, bowl at a seedy bowling alley, and drink beer out of long-necked bottles. (So said Jenn.) The surprise was that they showed up /dressed for the part/. Holy crap, I couldn't even look at them all night. It was killing me.

(You can't tell, but Jenn was careful to put lipstick on her teeth, also. I was dying.)

We had a whole heck of a lot of fun at the bowling alley, and ended up staying for about four hours of bowling goodness. Jenn amused us all by scoring a 69 at the ninth frame of one game, and then purposefully rolling gutterballs to keep her score. This all sounds so stupid to type, but we had a consistently good time, and I couldn't stop laughing and smiling. I love Jenn and Sarah so freaking much, because we're all cut from the same cloth and we just really build on each other. And, really, how could you not love people who shopped at Goodwill just to impress you?

She's so quick, she blurred the whole photo. Zoooom!

Peas and I boldly show you our "down theres."

The requisite "art photo."

(Have I mentioned how much I love having a camera? There were so many other great shots from Friday night and Saturday night, I just haven't had a chance to crop them all. SOON.)

Anyway, so last night I was up playing with Friendster, and then we got up this morning and decided to call Peas and Sarah about brunch. We hit the yummy buffet at Union Station and then parted ways. Jen and I ran some more errands, and were then graced by a house call from A., who brought me a 17inch monitor in exchange for some Canadian candy we bought him in Niagara Falls. He stayed to shoot the breeze for a while, and we went to Pete's for an outdoor drink. Then we went to Chili's and had yummies with my favorite elspazz0Sarah Sarah. She dropped us off, I finished laundry, Jen did dishes (yes, this is so exciting), and then we watched Like Water For Chocolate. (We were going to watch Fox Fire but Netflix sent me a broken DVD.) The best thing about watching movies at home is the cuddling on the couch. Yay!

It is now significantly past my bedtime, so I am going to go pretend I'm sleepy. Good night, and thanks to everyone who made my weekend so much fun!
