BIG SCREEN
Nov. 16th, 2003 06:56 pmA few weeks ago, A. brought over his old 17" monitor because he had gotten a new one and asked if I wanted this one. I would have felt weirder taking it if it hadn't hit me that I'm sure I helped pay for it when it was purchased for his computer way back. It's been downstairs since he brought it over, and tonight in preparation for house guests (well, just Bucky) I thought I would bring it upstairs and plug it in. Now, I've only ever in my whole life had a 13" monitor here in the house, and let me say just one thing: WOW, THIS IS HUGE! Yeah.
Jennifer and I just got back from running a gazillion errands and going to see the Tupac movie. It was everything I wanted it to be, so YAY! The only down side was that a guy two rows ahead of me kept bouncing in his seat or something, which was bouncing my seat, which made me have to pee really badly. But that's okay.
One of the errands was Trader Joe's for groceries, where we bumped into Alycia and Kate. Well, we physically bumped into a whole lot of people, because it was PACKED. We will never go to TJs on a Sunday afternoon again. Now we're broke but have a fridge full of healthy foodles, which means we have to make a conscious effort to eat homemade lunches and dinners instead of going out. We always mean to, and get off to a good start, and then start to run out of food and go out to eat a lot, and get into a vicious cycle (out to eat = don't buy groceries = no food in house = out to eat). But let me tell you, right now she's cooking up a storm in preparation for Bucky, and it smells so mouthwateringly good that I can't for the life of me imagine why we don't eat in.
Okay, doorbell rang, so that means Bucky and homecooked dinner and vino and good times. I love my life right now.
(p.s. Went to Japanese Steakhouse for Sarah Carrots's birthday dinner last night. I would choose my meal more wisely next time, but it was a bucket of fun. Bah bah BAH bah bah bah bah bah!)
