Comrade Worker Bee!
Dec. 2nd, 2003 04:40 pmI've had a crazy productive day. I am Comrade Worker Bee! Since coming into work, I've made phone calls, written a bazillion ROAs (Record of Activity), wrote another "impressive" case plan, made an appointment, went on a hospital visit to see a newborn drug-addicted baby with Coworker Sarah, wolfed down some lunch, got Jennifer and her vehicle added to my car insurance policy (erm, /our/ car insurance policy), made some copies, answered a bunch of emails, and have now tooled around the internet. Wow.
Oh, and in my long rant of whining, I forgot about the guy (I think he's somehow related to me) who came to the table of honor and hugged and kissed almost everyone seated at the table. He has always given me those big hugs and kisses like everyone else, but on Saturday night, he went around with his hugs and kisses for everyone, and shook my hand and Jennifer's hand.
You know, I don't usually think of myself as a paranoid person or a conspiracy theorist, but I'm starting to wonder. It's just so frustrating because it is so obvious (to me anyway) that this is so much happier and healthier and better than anything I've ever had. I just wish people would /see/ that. It's not even that I'm looking for approval necessarily, it's more that I've been on "the other side" when I was engaged and married to A., and I suppose in some ways that makes me that much more sensitive to the inconsistencies.
Oh well. This morning I returned to bed after my shower to wake my smoochie, and she was all burrowed and warm and soft. She smelled so incredibly good and I could have spent hours there just inhaling her warmth. This is worth everything because it /is/ everything.

Date: 2003-12-02 02:01 pm (UTC)That's utterly gross. I hate when people do things like that to know that they feel differently about you because you are gay. Ew.
So what's the deal with the joint auto insurance? Do you get any good deals or anything, or is it just that you two are on the same policy now, and the money just goes to one place? Just curious. It's not really an option for us right now (because Marilyn's parents still pay her car insurance), but I was just wondering.

Date: 2003-12-02 06:33 pm (UTC)- God, I miss my girl. This is my favorite time of day, the early morning- nestling in the warmth of her neck, feeling her breath on my skin, feeling/watching her eye lashes flutter as she awakens, being swallowed whole in her grip.
You are so damn lucky to have it every day.

Date: 2003-12-03 02:32 pm (UTC)So, as for the car insurance... I'll have to give you an update on that when I get the actual paperwork for the new policy, because then it will show the actual breakdown. As of right now, all I got was the quote from the broker, not how it all broke down.
But I will keep you posted. I imagine that they just added her to my policy, and so she got my "multiple policy" discount (because I have renter's insurance) and my "good credit" discount, but I don't believe they will give us the "multi-vehicle" discount because we're not "related."
If so, that's bullshit. I hope I'm wrong.

We dated long distance for a long enough time for me to realize how incredibly special every shared moment is. Hang in there.
