La, la, la Cover Day (redux)

356dreamer's cats for the last time. I can then travel to my beautiful home and see the beautiful tree that smoochie and I put up last night. I can reheat my delicious chinese food and begin washing clothes. And then I can carefully select clothes and other assorted items, and put them in a piece of luggage bound for NEW YORK CITY!
I'm trying to remember the last time I was even /in/ New York. There was a period of time when I traveled there quite frequently, but then I started working full-time at the shelter and everything went downhill. I think the last time I was there was December of 2001, when I spent one night withrizzo41 until my Jennifer picked me up to take me with her to Delaware. Her daddy drove and we stopped at her house in New Jersey to switch to her Jeep. She hugged me for the first time in 5 years in her basement bedroom. The rest, as they say, is history. Wow.
Has it really been two years since I've been in my City? It seems like it can't really be, but I can't think of another time. I know I've never seen Jodie's 1BR apartment, so perhaps it has. WOW. Craziness.
So I get to see my beloved Jodie, which I absolutely cannot wait to do. And Stefan and Lia and Louise and Ronnie and Paul and Princess. WOW. /And/ I get to finally meetcappucinogrrl and murnkay and stacy. Good times all around!
(I'm going to miss my best girl, though. I feel bad leaving her in C-bus while I go out gallavanting, as Grandma would say. Take good care of her!)
