The last Secret Date Night of 2003
Dec. 30th, 2003 09:21 pm2003 is ending, and I've been slacking on Secret Date Night, so tonight I went out to dinner and bessert with
Sean and
Jenny. We went to S'ghetti Warehouse (because Sean required meatballs) and then to Graeter's. Yum! We also got to chat quite a bit.
I spent so much drunk time with Sean this summer that I think I'd forgotten how incredible Sober Sean is. I mean, he can be so in depth and thoughtful (as in "full of thoughts" rather than "considerate") (which isn't to say he's inconsiderate) (much). It's really kind of amazing because I usually think we're surface friends and that he doesn't really think about me on more than a basic level, and then he comes out with these analyses of my life that are a) proof that he pays attention to what I say, think, and write, and b) pretty true.
It was also really nice to see Jenny again. She is one of those people that I don't see often and don't know well, but should. I mean, she's just a really good person who's really easy to like. I worry about her, though. Not that I don't think she can take care of herself, but that there's more hurt going on inside her than she lets on. I guess that's just Therapist Jude talking, though. I feel like I should take her out to dinner, buy her a bottle of wine, and just ask her everything. I like that she not only indulges my need to ask a million personal questions, but also asks questions of her own.
So anyway, thanks for Secret Date Night. I appreciate it!
p.s.
reveries made this userpic. She stole it from Jennifer's and my Disney pictures. Isn't it the cutest?
