Training

I have training today from 9:00-4:00. I have training tomorrow from 9:00-4:00. I have orientation on Thursday from 9:00-4:00 (I know, I know, I've been there over 4 months now). I have home visits today and tomorrow at 4. I have a bunch of visits on Wednesday. I have to close a case by Friday because if it doesn't close within 7 days of court it's a big hassle that I'd rather not bother with. I am going to be running around like a loony without a bin this week. Maybe I can make my coworker go to the visit today so I can go back to the office and do some of the metric ton of case-closing paperwork. She didn't want to go alone but I'll probably make her suck it up, I mean, it's not like I haven't visited the family a bazillion times already and they're fine.

Training is fun in the sense that I don't have to do anything all day... but then I realize that I didn't do anything all day and that's really frustrating. I have waaaay too much to do to take three days off in the middle of the month. Guh.

I'm sure the intricacies and minutiae of my child welfare job are fascinating to Teh Intarweb.

Did you ever see that episode of The Brady Bunch where they are in Hawaii and the three boys go into a cave to return the idol that brings bad luck? And in the cave they get kidnapped by Vincent Price who ties them to giant tikis and he's cooking beans and Bobby tells him his beans are burning and Vincent Price says, "Thank you, boy. You saved my beans," or something like that?

Well, yeah... if that happened to me, I would let the beans burn. BURN, BEANS, BURRRRRRN!

If by "working for the Man" you mean "not getting reimbursed for mileage for the last two months," I would have to agree with you.
