Hahaha.. I remember once I washed my pager. I'll never forget turning it on after that.. It gave me one vailiant.. beeeeeeeeeep.. and then went silent forever.

I dropped my entire purse into a toilet (I tell people a sink usually. NEVER rest anything on the back of the toilet!), and it had my camera, wallet, cell phone, etc in there. I quickly snatched it out, but the cell phone did get soaked.

For a few hours, it kept turning off and on. It came back to life, but now it's difficult to charge it.

My boss dropped his old cell phone/Blackberry type device into the toilet. It still worked afterward, but he upgraded anyway.

Curiously, nobody else in the office wanted that hand-me-down.

Ha! Let me tell you - when you run a cell phone through a washer /and/ a dryer, and you can hear it *thump*ing around for quite some time, it's dead.

The crystal display cracked and everything. Poor phone. :(

I dropped a pager into the toilet once. I was getting ready for bed and I ... well, I was kinda pretending I was Indiana Jones ... and my belt was my bullwhip ... and when I boldly pulled off my belt ... you know, to whip the bad guys ... the pager just went ker-sploosh.

That's the sorta thing that you'd expect to happen to a ten year old.

I think I was twenty-eight at the time.
