More Tonsil Drama

Yeah, it's bigger today. Now the entire left side of my face is swollen, and if I turn toward that side, my huge tonsil presses in and makes me want to gag. The earliest doctor appointment today is 2:45pm. Great. I'll miss Sexual Abuse Training, the one thing I really wanted to do this week. When I go in, I'll be sure to let the doctor know that the last time this happened, she gave me a prescription for antibiotics, I started taking them, and then it got worse to the point that my throat was shutting. Maybe I can prevent a trip to the ER. I don't really have the time or money for that. Maybe I'll end up getting my tonsils out someday. La la la.

But in an effort to please the CSP lady, I'll be driving up to that Mom's house this morning and getting that info release. Then I will go in and fax it to her. And then I will come home and sulk.

i really hope you dont have to have your tonsils out :(

ok i'm probably biased because i have a hard time healing but i had my tonsils out a few years ago and it didn't go that well.

it took me a really long time to heal and i was in hugs amounts of pain after. they say it's much worse for adults than for kids. so.. yeah :( it would suck if you have to go through that. i hope the antibiotics take care of it

I hope I don't have to either, but on the other hand, I'd also just like to get rid of them and not have to deal with this crap all the time. I've been to the ER in 2001 and 2003 with this mess and I'm just so freaking tired of looking like I have the mumps.

As soon as I found out about my dad in the hospital, my right tonsil got inflamed. I went to the doctor (it wasn't so big as you are describing), and he said it's viral and to just rest. Riiiiight. So it's still inflamed, but I'm taking all the zinc in the world and hopefully it will get better.

Dude, I am pulling out the big guns this afternoon and am asking for steroids. I don't usually ask for medication, and I almost never take any medication at all, but I /refuse/ to have to go to the ER like last year. That was crazy, and way too expensive.

So I'm going to ask. I guess she can say no, right?

Hey - it looks like I'm going to be going up to the March and back from the March on the /same/ day. 4:30 am depart, after midnight return. That SUCKS. I hope we can still find each other and meet.

If you're going up on Saturday, I might be able to finangle you an invite to a reception Sat. night with Anthony Romero and Nadine Strossen. Since I can't go because I have to FREAKIN' GO THERE AND BACK ON THE SAME DAY. I swear, even the perks of this job are starting to be sucky. Gonna be in DC, but can't see anything, because there will be no time. Grrrrrrr.
