judecorp | FUBAR with dire consequences

I am so furious with myself right now. You remember that Massachusetts Social Work License application I was very sure to rush out by April 1st so I would have plenty of time to get it all done? Well, yeah. It got sent back to me today, because I managed to miss the part that said "no personal checks, only money orders" and I sent, you guessed it, a personal check. So it took 2 weeks of mailing/processing time to get the thing back to me, and now I pretty much have to wait another 2 weeks to get my permission to test. Then I test. Then the results go to the Board. Then they mail me a license application, I send more money, and mail it back. Then they mail me a license. So much mailing/processing time. I'm pretty sure this 2 week FUBAR delay means I won't have it all done by the time I move. So frustrating, because I want to interview for jobs during the first week of May, and really wanted to be able to say I had done/passed/filled out/paid for everything and was just waiting on my license. Now that won't happen. I don't even know if I'll be able to take the damned test before I leave for that first week of May, which means that's another 8 days of postponement, unless I can figure out a way to actually take the test in Mass while I'm there. This is giving me severe anxiety. I was so careful to get everything sent out in plenty of time and I feel like the stupidest person alive for missing a critical piece. *sigh* And of course I get the thing on a Saturday afternoon, so it won't go out until Monday morning. Another two days down the drain.

On the plus side, Jen and I sold a bunch of used books and CDs and made almost $80. Sweet!
