Smattered randomness
Apr. 11th, 2004 08:45 pmI have some of the best friends ever. It is going to be very sad when Jennifer and I leave, because I have gone and gotten very attached to these people. They know who they are. I can just laugh and laugh and have a great time, and it's just good fun. I hope I will have similar experiences when we move. I hope I will have some fun friends. I know I will have my ya-yas, and my family. Now I just need some people who will let me be completely stupid.
Today I bought our tickets from Providence to Missouri for my brother's wedding reception. We got a sweet fare on the airline I had a $100 voucher for. Not too shabby. And he said we could stay on an air mattress on their office floor, which is extra sweet, because we'll be broke as a joke by then. (Besides, that means they'll get more of a wedding present.) My insurance company gets me discounts on rental cars, so that's no big deal. Wheeeee!
Tomorrow I'm going to call the Massachusetts Dept. of Social Services to talk to an actual person about actual jobs. And then I will call the Social Worker Board to see if I can take the exam without the "permission to test" if I don't get said permission in a timely fashion. I should probably actually start studying at some point, though it's been so frickin' long since I sat and read notes or studied or anything. Bleh.

juliann's recommendation, I took out The Tightwad's Gazette from the library. I can't wait to read it and find out ways I can be even CHEAPER than I already am. Money hoarding, here I come!!
