COALITION DIRECTOR/PROJECT MANAGER

Summary:

The GLSEN Boston Coalition Director is responsible for the development and growth of the Sexual Minority Youth Violence Prevention Coalition to reduce violence against LGBT youth across Eastern Massachusetts.

Hours: Full time

Salary: High thirties-Low forties, FTE; Benefits available.

Qualifications:
Required:
* BA/BS degree in education, human services, community development or related field
* Experience in coalition building/community development/community organizing
* Experience working with adolescents in a youth development model
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience in project management
* Experience working in the field of violence prevention and/or glbt youth
* Experience with large group facilitation
* Experience with Massachusetts State Agencies
* Ability to take initiative, follow through and to work independently

Preferred:
* Advanced degree
* Familiarity with evaluation practices and research methodology
* Familiarity with training delivery models
* Experience supervising other professionals
