Our new home!
May. 9th, 2004 04:42 pmThese are just a couple of photos of our new place. We are so freaking excited to live there. It is the most amazing apartment either of us have ever seen. (And our current apartment is pretty schwank, so that's saying a lot.) The pictures don't do it justice. This means, of course, that you will all have to come visit.

This is the master bedroom. Or, well, it's the bigger bedroom, and will be where we'll be sleeping. Those three closets are actually part of one long closet. And off to the right of the photo (where you can't see) is a walk-in closet.

This little area is going to become our office, and will be where we keep the computers. Apparently the last tenant had the same idea, because it's already wired for cable.

This picture doesn't do the room justice - it's the living room, and the ceiling is about 20' high. There is track lighting already installed on the ceiling.

This is the dining room area. I love that this place has a totally open floor plan. Anyway, we won't be using this as a dining room though, prolly as Jen's studio. Though something will have to go under that low light.

This is the guest bedroom. Most of this room is under the gables of the ceiling. I LOVE IT! Note that it also has two closets. And that little space between them is wired for cable - how cute!

This is a not-so-great picture of the kitchen. You can see the island with chairs on the right (hence no need for dining room), and everything else is down one long hall: refrigerator, stove, microwave, black ceramic sink, dishwasher. Down the length of the kitchen and to the right is a little nook that houses a washer/dryer and a cute little ironing-board-holder.

I love this. This is the doorway leading to the bathroom. The ceiling is about 20' high here too, so they installed windows into the bathroom. It is amazing. (Hey, who's that cute girl?)

This is the glassed-in shower and sink. I love the shower. This, coupled with the insane amount of space (the bathroom is probably 13'x13' or larger) is why I call this the "Brian Kinney Bathroom."

The final touch - a beautifully tiled jacuzzi tub under a skylight. There are skylights in almost every room, and they all open and have screens. (Did I mention I love this apartment?)

And really, would we expect any less from two men with this backyard? Isn't this cute??!? Maybe when we get to know them better, they'll let us have a little *wedding reception* there. (SQUEE!) One of the landlords is an executive chef.
These pictures just make me more and more excited! I can't wait until we get to buy cutesy widdle home accessories for our new place. We will definitely be here a while!
