Swollen and Sick

Okay, so the Tonsil Drama has continued. I woke up this morning and was very visibly swollen, to the point that my swollen neck was pushing out and giving me this giant moon face and a puffy double chin. When I looked in the mirror this morning I nearly revolted myself. Jen kept telling me that I was beautiful and that I didn't look funny, which didn't help me to feel better as a) it dismissed my feelings and b) if I didn't look any different than I must look this swollen and stupid all the time. [sarcasm]I'm so glad I have a job that requires me to see lots of people.[/sarcasm]

Now it's about 2:00pm and I'm just feeling very run down. I'm exhausted and my eyes are droopy, and it's warm in my office and I'm so hot, and my knees are killing me. I have no appetite but I'm sure my lack of eating is causing low blood sugar which is adding to the icky feeling.

The best part is that I have a house guest this weekend, I have a gigantic throat, I feel like crap, and I have to take my licensing exam tomorrow. Tomorrow if I feel anything like I feel today, I'm screwed, because I can't seem to concentrate on anything. And I can't stop sweating. Gross.

So yeah, I'll be a Big Ole Bag of Fun tonight for goddamnelf, I'm sure. And I'm sure he'll be thrilled when I go to bed at 10pm and then have to be gone all morning for my license exam.

'Cause, you know, I didn't have enough to be stressed out about.

Actually, I prefer to gargle with diluted Listerine. According to TEH DOC, it is as effective as saltwater (and tastes less nasty).

I do, too. But not when I have genuine bad feelings about my appearance that go unacknowledged. :)
