I am fine, physically. I am in Queens, and I am fine. Jodie is fine. No word from Mark yet, but I'm sure he's fine.

I am so incredibly and irrevocably sad. Today, I cried. I never cry.

I cry for my City.
And I cry for the skyline.
And I cry for New York.
And I cry for the nation.
And I cry for the world.
And I cry for peace.
And I cry for humanity.
And I cry for me.

Thank you to all of you who were worried about me. Now, and always, is a wonderful and perfect time to tell you that I love you.

You'd be amazed. Around 1:00, Jode and I walked down to Dunkin Donuts. The sky was sunny in Queens - you could only see the big cloud if you looked toward Metropolitan Ave. - and it was business as usual - cars, buses, trash, noise.

Very surreal, just a few miles away.

I love you, mom. I didn't get your ring today cuz well..I was glued to the radio.

Oh and although London is a no-fly zone, all reports of us having renegade airplanes were false. Not that anyone was really worried about us, but we did have two unidentified aircraft and my workplace did get evacuated -- we are the prime target for any attacks in London.

Thank goth it was my day off, there's only so many times one can get evacuated in one year ;)

(entirely jaded about us getting evacuated. Unlike y'all, we get bombings regularly. Though granted a lot less spectacular.)
