Can one die of boredom? I think I'm starting to find out.

I'm just not used to this. Usually I have TOO MUCH going on. Usually I'm so busy and frazzled that when I get an evening to myself, I scream a giant "Thank you!" to the heavens. Now I've spent so much time in my new apartment that, while fabulous, is starting to drive me nuts. I CRAVE STIMULUS!!!

Help!

Scientists know that, without stimulation, the Cerebellus D'arcus will fade in time, reducing to a thinner layer.

We cant allow this to happen.

Holy SHIT woman, you're in BOSTON! You can't find anything good to do? You're not looking hard enough. Go down to Southy and harrass the working folk, or just have some good fish n chips. Go to Salem and irritate the witch wannabees. Go to Quincy Market and convince idiot tourists you're the great great great granddaughter of Benjamin Franklin. You even still have the key from his kite experiment.

Hrm. I think I might be insane.

I was going to say you can (win the lottery to pay for a ticket to) get on a train and come visit me. My office is 4 blocks from the Amtrak station here in Philly. But then I saw [livejournal.com profile] katishna's suggestions, and, well, I just can't top those. Although John Adams is more believable there; you'd want to use the Franklin line here. :)

You sound a bit like Melis did when she was laid off. Ax her what she did in those 6 weeks...the answers might shock you...

...okay, they won't...

And now, it's time for me to shut up.

Here's something fun to try, it might occupy a lot of time as it's near impossible for a lot of people:

point in the air and draw a six, now, at the same time lift your foot and rotate it to draw a clockwise circle.

heh.

Ok, we obviously must schedule hang out time. Tomorrow night I am apparently going to see a samurai movie at Kendall with William (Twilight Samurai? - you're welcome to come with!). Do you want to play on Sunday? Also, would ya'll like to go pick strawberries with me and William next weekend? Probably Saturday?

I'm sure once I get some income and a more normalized routine, things will pick up.

I hope.

now email me that pic you took of me!

Well, one of the problems is money. As in, I'm trying not to spend any because we don't have any coming in. This weekend is Pride and I'm sure we're going to dump some money there, so I've been all conserve-y and stuff. I've even been trying not to spend money on T fare and stuff (or parking).

But yes, all of those are tantalizing suggestions! I should take Jen to some touristy things while we have our days off together instead of wishing I'd done it when we're both working too hard.

And yes, you're insane. :)

Maybe if I win the lottery I will have to do that! Heck, a Philly road trip should DEFINITELY be in our future when we have money coming in.

I just need to find FREE things to do. :) (And convince The Girl to do them, but that's a different story.)

When I was laid off last summer, I was really productive for the first couple of weeks and then things went downhill fast. I felt like I just had all of this time on my hands and I was going batty batshit. I would get everything that needed to be done complete in about an hour, and then I was stumped.

I should go geocaching somewhere. That would be fun! My problem is that I have this weird idea that I should be home in case a job calls. But that's kind of ludicrous.

I should, but I have to have income for that. I'm trying to shut off curb all extraneous spending until we have jobs. I have a small check coming in on the 10th, and should get my tiny bit of accrued vacation on the 24th, but if we don't get jobs soon, our meagre savings is toast.

I can meet you guys for lunch if we go on a picnic and I can bring my own PB&J!

I believe tonight (Wednesday) we're grilling out with Ms. Shani and Mr. Matthew, which will be fun. Thank you for the samurai invite though I will respectfully decline. :)

Is next Saturday the 19th? I have to go to a bridal shower that day, I think, in Rhode Island.

Sunday will probably work. I'll have to double check with The Boss!

That's the best thing about coming to have lunch with us! We can usually only leave for short little bits of time, so we walk out for food and bring it back here to eat. Heck, at least half the time we both bring lunch from home too. You could totally pack your own lunch and come hang out with us (either on the porch, OR in the yummy air conditioning).
