Thanks to the wonders of temp agency computer testing, I now know that I currently type 75 words per minute. This is fairly impressive to me, if only because both my brother and I are masters of the 2-4 finger typing. Neither of us ever learned to type correctly (i.e. fingers on the right keys), yet I can do most typing without looking with few errors. Unless you put one of those split ergonomic keyboards in front of me - those eff my crap up, yo! (Because I use three fingers and a thumb, I end up "crossing the line" with my right hand quite a bit which is impossible on an ergo keyboard.)

I also took Word and Excel tests. All this taught me was that it's been a LONG time since I've used Excel. I used to be a champ at using formulas and all of that crap, but I definitely need to fiddle with it again if I want to boost my career as an office flunkie. Which I don't. Not really. The sad truth is, though, I can probably make more (salary-wise) as an administrative assistant than a social worker. Even though the social work jobs cost me an MSW degree and a licensing exam and a license.

Incidentally, I paid $57 for my social work license last month. I became licensed on June 16th. Massachusetts licensing rules state that all licenses are renewed on October 1st of even years. Today I received my renewal bill. How effed up is that??!?! At least I don't need to come up with the Continuing Education credits since I haven't even been licensed for a quarter. How frustrating. I probably should have just temped until October and /then/ submitted for my license. What a waste of $57.

Tomorrow is going to be a very frantic day. I have an interview and testing at Preferred Temps at 11am, and then an interview and testing at Hollister Staffing at 1:30pm. Then I have a phone interview at 5pm. Then we have to go to my grandparents house for the night so we can get up early to head to the airport. PHEW! Because of this, we were supposed to go to a free screening of Anchorman tonight but we are skipping it in lieu of packing.

I think I will take and post pictures of us in our wedding duds tonight if I get around to it. I will be wearing FLOWERS.

Now I must go because 72 pounds of memory foam just arrived in our apartment. The nice UPS man carried it to the third floor for us, so now I must have his babies. I guess we got the king size sheets and stuff just in time. RAWK! Now we must make a platform. Monday!
