Today I participated in the developmental assessment of a 5-month-old baby. If that's not enough to make me love my job, I don't know what is.

I still have baby fever really REALLY badly. This job does not help with this AT ALL. At my old job, I had kids from 0-18. With Early Intervention, services cut off on a child's 3rd birthday. So all of my clients are under 3. (Some of them have older siblings, but still.) I am surrounded by infants and toddlers! It's enough to make me want to hide one in my bag on my way out of the house! MINE MINE MINE!

I really need to find a way to shake this baby fever, especially since our plans to have a baby had to be put on hold because of financial uncertainties and the change in life course from the move to Boston. We had originally decided to start working on this baby business in November of 2005. Now that's not entirely likely. Ha. Baby business. It sounds so... formal.

I need someone local to have a baby so I can get my baby fix. Now that I've moved away from Maylie and Fisher and Kara, I'm fresh out of babies. Bring on the babies! GET IN MAH BELLAH!

I will share my upcoming niece or nephew with you.. it is only an hours drive!!!! And then we can send her home when she gets cranky .. YEAHHHHHH!!!!

PS. That is a hard part of the job, maybe get a bigger bag??? =)

I called my friend, Amy, yesterday like three times in an hour trying to see if she was home so I could stop by for a baby fix on my way home from the parent's house. She didn't answer, and the machine didn't pick up and I was like, "the nerve! doesn't she know I'm having baby withdrawl?!" hehe.

Someday, my friend. Someday we'll be the cutest Mommies. :)
