Impromptu plan with the gay man
Aug. 22nd, 2004 01:38 amThis evening made my heart happy. I found out that
Jared was in Andover for work and when he slipped me his hotel name, I drove on up to visit with him. He was in this schwank suite (say that 10 times fast) with a kitchen, bedroom, fabu bathroom, and a gas log fireplace in front of a sofa unit. I lounged by the fire all sex-ay because everyone knows that's where the magic happens.
It was so wonderful to catch up with Jared and hear about what's been going on with the whole gang back in Columbus. We were talking about everyone and I mentioned that everyone in that little group is so emotionally involved with everyone else, and that's why there ends up being a lot of drama (I think). I know that I definitely felt a strong connection with those guys in a way I haven't felt since my Hofstra days with Rho Rho Boata.
What's funny is that when I lived in Columbus, one of the things I always wanted to do was go out for an evening with just Jared and just be able to spend time with him. I pretty much only saw him at parties or get-togethers with other people around, at the bars or just around town. We just never worked out a time to get together one-on-one. It's ironic that I finally got some QT with J-rad, but only after I moved away. He also stuffed me with yummy Chinese foodles in scary Lawrence courtesy of the corporate credit card. YOM.
He spent some time trying to convince me to take Jen and move back to C-bus. In some ways that's really tempting. As much as I didn't like the atmosphere in Ohio, I loved the people. Oh, the people. I am still so very attached.
Thank you, Jared, for a simply enchanting evening. (And for laying down by the fire!)
