I feel so very frayed right now. Work is piling up all over the place and I have all kinds of obligations and plans. I didn't get to eat dinner tonight because Jen and I went to a free screening of Danny Deckchair tonight immediately after work, and now it's kind of too late to eat (if I ate now, I wouldn't be able to get to sleep). Normally that's not a big deal, but I can't eat lunch tomorrow unless one of my visits cancels. (This isn't unlikely, but not something I can bank on, yanno?)

Tomorrow is my grandmother's birthday and my dad is taking her out to dinner. I am coming with, but I'm /supposed/ to be going to a goodbye party for my former supervisor. Everyone is going but me, and I feel like a big dork. Hopefully I will find time to at least buy her a card so I can have someone bring it. So yeah, Dad wants me in RI ASAP, but of course I have an assessment until 4:30, and then that's smack in the middle of summer Friday rush hour, so who knows when I'll get there. Hopefully my grandparents aren't too upset. They eat early. You know, because they're old.

So I'm tired and stressed and hungry. And my blood sugar is waaaay down which is making my mood crash too. Everything has been so GO GO GO GO GOOOOOOOOOOO this week, and this weekend doesn't look like respite. RI tomorrow night... a million errands Saturday during the day... gotta get to Foxboro to see whod81Ryan while he's still in town... wedding on Sunday...

Crap. That means I need a card for Heather, a birthday card for Grandma, and a wedding card for Monique and Kevin. Crap. When am I going to get to a store? Ugh.

ironically my friend John is going to Rhode Island tonight too...so you'll have company on the freeway.

i wouldn't worry about the job front. you'vew made your effort and the family comes first. that's a philosophy your job has to agree with

Oh, I doubt that my JOB cares whether or not I go to Heather's going away party... *I* care, and I know Heather will care. She was my supervisor, and she helped me out a lot in terms of training and getting oriented, and she's really nice. So I'm kind of bummed that everyone gets to go but me, because my Dad didn't let me know ahead of time. Yanno?

How did you like Danny?

Jen and I both thought it was really cute. It's not some cinematic masterpiece that I'm going to buy on DVD and watch over and over, but I liked it.

Did you see it?

Yeah, saw a preview of it a few weeks back. The first 15 minutes were obnoxious, and then it settled into a cute fluffy movie. And Miranda Otto is Teh Hotness.
