You can just call me Posty McPosterson
Sep. 24th, 2004 05:24 pmI forgot to mention the best part of my whole day! It was so great that it's almost enough to make me want to stay at my job for 987932797429 years.
So I was sitting at the lunch table eating lunch (duh). I wasn't supposed to eat lunch today but I got no-showed (eh, that's another story, I guess)... so I'm sitting there and the Director of my program and I are gabbing about Survivor of course. (We are both Survivor nuts.) I stop for a minute to make fun of the Assistant Director for being old, and my Director mentions something about how when she heard me making fun of David (the AD) in my second week, she knew I was a good fit.
So then I find myself telling them about the "feedback" I got from that job interview (although I carefully left out the part about the interview being a couple of weeks ago). And I get to the part where I say that one of the 'red flags' was that I would be bad for Team Morale because I might talk about people behind their backs. My Director says, without any prompting, "Well, you can tell she never called anyone you've ever worked with, because I called all of your references and they all positively love you." She even went on to say that each of my references commented on what a great team player I am and how they enjoyed working with me.
So IN YOUR FACE, lady!!
(And it was nice to know that both the Director and the AD, who are both LICSWs, thought that having roleplays in an interview was totally weird.)
