Communal Food Day
Sep. 26th, 2004 11:13 pmShared meals are so much more fun than meals eaten alone. One of the bizarrely good things about my current job is that a majority of the people who work there make an effort to bring their lunches and all eat around the big table. Even when I only have about 15 minutes to eat lunch, I'd rather wolf my food down in the conference room than grab something on the road.
Today I had the privelege of two communal meals. This morning
Wiley called and invited us over for pancakes. (I guess I whined about it a few too many times.) So I woke Jen, we threw on some clothes, and headed to Weymouth for apple pancakes and time with Wiley,
Jenn, and Widget. Yum!
This evening we were treated to a meal of decadence thanks to
Olex and
Jen. They made this incredibly fatty fat fat white wine and smoked gouda pasta sauce and a hot-out-of-the-oven apple brown betty with vanilla ice cream. It was so freaking good I couldn't even stand it. I am so stuffed. I have officially gained 879827092 pounds. Mmmmm, fat fat fat fat fat. Also, we played Skip-Bo and cribbage. Cribbage = teh bestest.
So it was a day of communal foodage. Or perhaps a day of Jen(n)s. Either way, good times.
