Mmmmm, Mekhi Phifer.
Oct. 7th, 2004 10:17 pmOkay, so I've continued to e-mail that girl that almost married my kindergarten kiss. And she happens to be on bed rest at Beth Isreal Deaconness hospital right now because she is pregnant with triplets and is due in 7 weeks! How crazy is that??!? She didn't even use fertility drugs or anything. Wackiness.
I think it's hysterical that we are still e-mailing each other, considering the only thing we have in common is that we've both touched the same lips!
I am still amused by Survivor. I had pizza and beer for dinner. I am planning to leave work early tomorrow (at 2:00pm). It's supposed to be 70 degrees or something tomorrow. It's almost time for Shani's birthday dinner. And it's almost my birthday! These are all very good things.
Speaking of my birthday, you are running out of time to fill my mailbox with goodies! My Amazon wishlist can be found HERE. And I'm not too shy to say that if you want my mailing address so you can send me fun stuff, e-mail me at smurfchick at livejournal dot com.
Wayga!

Date: 2004-10-08 06:48 am (UTC)and Handmaid's Tale is one of my favorite books, although it gave me horrible nightmares.
There's a fairly cool movie version with Robert Duvall.

Date: 2004-10-09 12:21 pm (UTC)I haven't read The Handmaid's Tale in a long, long time. I took it out from the library a million years ago (when I was living in Maine, I think, not sure) and I remember being quite taken with it.
I want to read it again, but I'd also like to have it permanently. Atwood uses words in a way that really grips me, and I also liked The Robber Bride by her, though not as much.

Date: 2004-10-09 12:38 pm (UTC)I was thinking I'd stay there Tues., Weds., or Thurs., night.
I know you work days, but such is it with a week-long road trip. I'm going to try to hang with Crystal and Kristen, and I'm sure I can find plenty to do during the day.

Date: 2004-10-09 12:39 pm (UTC)I'll make sure you have the key to our place so you can come and go as you please while Jen and I are at work. And then we can cook exciting vegetarian meals together or something. I'll make it a point to avoid making too many late appointments while you're staying.
Fun!
