I'm really glad I have a pretty beefed up immune system. So far, *knock on wood*, I've managed to avoid any serious illnesses since beginning work with infants and toddlers three months ago. I'm grateful that even though I get sneezed on, coughed on, wheezed on, drooled on, vomited on, and boogered on on an almost daily basis, I haven't felt too sick to go to work.

I'm obviously being exposed to all sorts of nasties, though. I've been fighting illness for about the past four weeks, but I've never had more than one symptom at a time. For a few days I had a swollen tonsil, for a few days I was coughing, for a few days I was sneezing. This morning I woke up with my sinuses clogged up and my ears feeling fluid-y, but I don't feel sick. My head is pretty clear, my lungs feel good, and I've had enough energy to keep going all day. And until the 12-hour Sudafed wore off, I've been great!

I hope this post doesn't jinx me. And I hope I get enough sleep tonight, although that's doubtful. I have to be at work at 8am tomorrow morning for supervision (and I usually wake up at 8am), and I must watch GAME SEVEN.
