Project Project
Nov. 22nd, 2004 08:29 pmAttention photography buffs and wanna-be photography buffs:
I am brewing up a photo project and I NEED YOUR HELP! I am collecting photos of public housing projects all over the United States. There is no specific type of photo that I'm looking for. I want a photograph that in your mind depicts "public housing project." It could be a general shot of the entire housing project, or a picture of a specific building, or even some small part of the housing project. The only requirement is that the picture has to really be of an ACTUAL, currently inhabited public housing project. Aside from that, the freedom is yours.
Please e-mail all photo submissions to judecorp at gmail dot com, and put "Project Project" in the subject (so I know it's not unknown spam). If you want credit for the photo, please also give me your full name. If you want to submit paper photographs, e-mail me for my address and you can mail them to me. I can then scan them and send them back to you if you require.
I am going to start taking pictures here soon. I spend so much time in the projects that I can get a good number of photographs from Dorchester, Roxbury, and Southie. I don't have a deadline for this project. I'd like to see what kind of response I'll get.
Friends, please help! Even if you don't want to submit pictures, please pass my message on to your own friends lists or post my request in relevent communities. And encourage your friends to pass my request on as well. I appreciate all of your help!
ETA: If you /do/ post my request in a community, please leave me a comment and let me know which one. Also, if you end up posting my request in your journal, let me know so I can a) thank you properly and b) see how far my request spreads. Thanks!
