Dawn is(was) the key in human form and....something? sent it(her) to Buffy making Buffy think it was her sister so that Dawn would be protected.(She hadn't had a sister before Dawn) Dawn's cool though.

Xander is Buffy's friend, part of the Scooby Gang(group of her friends that help her). He's a wise ass, funny. Bit of a 'wimp' but there when the chips are down.

Buffy is the Vampire Slayer, the chosen one of her generation. She saved the world. A lot.

Willow is kick ass. Computer whiz, book worm and was quiet/shy unsure of herself. But know she's pretty much the leader of the Scooby Gang when Buffy isn't there.
Oh - and a waaay powerful witch. Her girlfriend Tara is a witch too but not as powerful.

Anya is an ex-demon. Waaaay funny without meaning to be. Girlfriend of Xander.
Anya: "Oh, crap. Look at this! Now I'm burdened with a husband and several tiny pink children, more cash than I can reasonably manage..."
Xander: "That means you're winning."(they were playing a game,can't remember which)
Anya: "Really?"
Xander: "Yes. Cash equals good."
Anya: "Ooh! I'm so pleased. Can I trade in the children for more cash?"

I don't get it. I know who Buffy and Xander and Willow and Oz are, because my friend has a Buffy board game and he made me play it once.

But what's this about a key?

Ok. So this is all based on limited knowledge 'cause work has limited me to snippets of the past season of Buffy, but the key is sort of an energy field of sorts that keeps our dimensions in line. Or something like that. Anyway. Dawn was created by a bunch of monks and presented to Buffy (along with a lifetime of memories) as Buffy's sister. that way Buffy could protect her and keep Hell from conquering Earth yet again.
Or I think that's how it goes. Anyone feel free to correct me.

One thing about Dawn. She's played by Michelle Trachtenburg (sp?) who was "Harriet, the Spy." So that's pretty damn cool. ;)

Ooh, you know, just being "Harriet the Spy" is enough for me. And adding the whole "keep Earth safe from Hell" thing is a bonus.

I wonder what questions I answered gave me that. Hee. Now I need to, like, watch an episode of this show.
