I found out today that two of my favorite helpline people are leaving the helpline. That is so sad! I don't want to have new people using the helpline with me when I already have fantastic people on my shift. Whine whine whine. If she leaves, Jill my chinchilla had better stay in touch with me and hang out or I will hunt her down.

I really think that the combination of the 50 hour/week job, the volunteering, the babysitting, and the RI crap is going to kill me. I feel so wiped out and drained all the time. Tonight when Jen and I got home after 10, I barely had the energy to bring the recycling/garbage down and haul my big booty back up the stairs. Did we just have a vacation two weeks ago? Because it sure doesn't feel like it.

I should go to bed, but first I need to put my laundry away and clean up some stuff. I accidentally left my work bag in the trunk. I hope I don't need it for anything tonight. I /must/ be exhausted, big time - I have been forgetting little things and spacing out all the freaking time. Yuck.

Vacation

Sometimes it is worse when you go on vacation. Your body remembers what it was like to relax so it resists working. But if you are constantly busy then it forgets and gets used to constantly going. But maybe you could take a leave of absence for a bit from volunteering?

i ditto the vacation. what is progress on the Umass job? just a fantasy or are you serious about it?

i was in columbus and dropped by the new KYC center. it was THE awesome - it's next to sabo's now, (not behind it in a little shanty) and seems like a quality place to hang out and be safe. i saw most of the regulars, justin and ebeth, as well as angie and patti. all sent their love and hellos and hope you and jen are doing well.

wait... VACATION. come to noho - i'm sure you'd be intrigued to see me without my favorite skirt. back in town august 28th.

You know, I don't think I ever saw you NOT in your CSG uniform, come to think about it. It would be an interesting change.

ebeth had told me once about KYC getting the big space, and I am SO happy for them. They really deserve a nice space! As for Angie and Patty and everyone, dang, I miss all you guys. Poo.

We will come to Northampton again, just you wait. It is one of our favorite places and I'm sure we'll be down there, for a weekend or something. Maybe we will spend our birthday there or something. :)

Hope you're doing well and enjoying the last bits of your vacation before you buckle down for the year. If you see Patty again, please please PLEASE tell her I miss her terribly.

I can't really skip out on volunteering right now because when I signed up, I made a one-year commitment. And it's not like the volunteer coordinator wouldn't understand and let me out of it, but I feel like I should do it, you know? A promise is a promise, and I don't want to let anyone down. Besides, volunteering is kind of fun.

But yeah, I wouldn't mind another vacation. Or at least a lazy weekend with no trips to RI to clean the house, where I could just sleep next to my smoochie and do whatever.
