or, in my life, my housemate (who was dating housemate #2 that my best friend had a big crush on (the housemate #2 who was the best friend of my best friend's ex-partner)) tells me she has a crush on me, but we're both too awkward to do anything about it, and also I have a crush on her OTHER recent ex-partner, who I hated for a year before that. and I've been on the verge of getting with housemate #2 and best friend for about a year as well.
