I feel snacky and don't know what to eat.
Mar. 26th, 2006 08:13 pmJust sitting here with some cats. We went down to RI today and visited with the grandparents and ended up dropping my
smurfbrother off at the airport so he could head back to Missouri. Grandma & Grandpa insisted on making us wait to go to a late lunch with them so by the time we went I was ready to eat my own hat. I held off, though, and ordered a fairly healthy meal - grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and salad. I tell you, this "eat healthy" thing is going to kill me... at least at first.
What's going to be the hardest is cutting down the sugar. Since I won't be taking Metformin after a postive pregnancy test, I need to be a heck of a lot better with the carbs/sugar to keep my insulin in check a bit. And I /love/ me some sugar. Gah.
Also trying to stop having: tuna fish, caffiene, aspartame. The last one is going to kill me. There's very little I like more than artificial sweeteners. Hey,
keelamonster, what's the word on artificial sweeteners?
We booked our airport shuttle to/from the NOLA airport. Good times. We tried looking up what's open and what's closed, but I think we'll just wander around for a couple of days and do whatever comes up. I don't have the energy for a well-planned trip. Maybe I'll have Jen pick up a touristy book or something and then we can be REALLY lame. If it's anything like our other vacations, it will rain a lot and we will watch a lot of television. :)
Tonight I take my first Clomid. Please oh please do not let me turn into a crazy hormonal nightmare. Thank you.

Date: 2006-03-28 01:40 am (UTC)As for Splenda, current sources say it's fine for pregnancy but it's so new that there's really no way to know for sure. I kind of want to be as natural as possible. Heck it would probably be good to me to ditch this stuff, anyway. :)

Date: 2006-03-28 01:47 am (UTC)So far so good with the Clomid. It's only been one day, but I haven't had any side effects yet. Thanks for the FX!
