Lots of luck with the babymaking. =) I'm keeping my fingers crossed for y'all. It's also very, very good to hear that it's been good for you both, as a couple.
Jenny and I have been talking a bit about what we're going to do in regards to our future plans. My sweet, practical Jenny is thinking about how we'd manage to make it all happen, if we decided to do that. She knows nearly NO ONE in Mass. Neither of us have jobs. The scholarship overs all but 8,000 a year, but that's a big chunk of money. And I could only work 20 hours a week, according to ABA rules. It would take a tremendous amount of sacrifice, particularly from Jenny, and a lot of work to make it all happen.
But I, too, am absolutely dizzy with all the wonderful opportunities it would open up. We'd be in a state that would let us marry. I'd be on track for a career that I am passionate about. I've romanticized the ivy-covered buildings and tree-lined streets of the school. And I'm in love with the idea of a fresh start (but that's something that's always been true). We did joke about wonderful it would be to have so many like-minded couples around us. These are the things I'd had in mind when I applied to that school, to be honest.
For a bit, I'm savoring the possibilities and the beauty of that dream. Some other day I'll be a grown up and be practical. Sometimes you have to let yourself dream a little so that you can remember what makes you happy.
Hee. Go ahead and talk about babies all you want. It makes me feel not so bad that I talk about law school a lot. We all have a tendency to talk about what's most important to us at the moment. It's ok.
