judecorp: (work poison)

I got home from work at 8pm tonight.

I spent 30 minutes in CVS from 7-7:30pm waiting on a prescription that was called in at noon. For 10 pills.

A family I've been working with for over a year is having major drama right now. So I dropped in tonight to give them something.

And got to hear a bunch of homophobic comments from one of the family members about how you should keep gay people away from children.

And then got stuck in the middle of stopping a fist fight between a mom and a grandma.

Thank goodness I don't start taking Clomid until tonight because I probably would have /seriously/ lost my shit. As it was I just wanted to bust out crying because the family drama is so sad and I've spent SO much time with this family.

Urk. At least Coworker Funk bought us pizza.

Blah. That sounds like it was a suck-rocks kind of evening. I'm sorry.

Sounds like a crappy day. I hope today was better for you. I hate family drama. I've had so many families just break my heart with their horrific dysfunction.

Thanks. The whole week was really much to eventful and stressy for me, enhanced by the bitch-causing properties of Clomid. I'm glad to have a couple of days to regroup, even if one of those days involves cleaning out the house in RI. It will just be nice to NOT be at work this week anymore. This week will always be over.

It just got to be too overwhelming. Today I was driving in the car between home visits and it just felt so... heavy. Like there was this overtone of sadness that was weighing me down. I'll be glad when that's over.

Yeah - this is a really cool family and I've enjoyed working with them very much... they're just stuck in this terrible situation right now and it just completely breaks my heart. Things are calming down a little as the situation isn't so new and raw, so hopefully next week will be a little better and less heavy.

And I hope things are going well with you, too!!
