I'm easing into work today slooooowly. Which is to say I haven't actually gone in yet. Due to random scheduling foo, I don't have anywhere I have to be until 11am. But I'll probably go in really shortly (aka a few minutes from now).

Not a great morning - this waiting to see if I will actually grow real eggs thing really got to me last night and didn't go well. I'm feeling a lot better about the whole thing now, after some nice love from the nice wife who let herself be a little late for work so I could get some hugs to the more fertile-looking situation I find myself in this morning. So things are progressing, just slower than last time and I'm not sure why. Frustrating.

Hopefully tomorrow will be all good news, especially since we're missing our plans for it. Le sigh. I was /really/ hoping to get the heck out of town and go to Northampton Pride. It would have been one thing to miss it for an IUI but it seems like such a waste for yet another ultrasound and yet another needlestick. Plus it won't be my usual needlesticker who is THE BEST.

Our wedding anniversary is next weekend (Saturday, in fact) and I'm not even sure what to do for it. Everything's been so intense and crazy with all of this infertility stuff and my crazy job. I need to think of something, especially since we were originally going to have a big anniversary party and we never got around to planning it or being able to afford it. Oops.

It's Friday and things should be much MUCH perkier. I need to work on that. Commence the perking!

I really hope when you go in your have some great, healthy looking eggs. I know what you mean about not wanting to miss something for IUI. We had to miss my cousin's wedding in IL last week because of IVF, and now will probably miss the vacation we had planned in early July because of IVF. I just keep thinking how fun it will be to take baby with once he/she gets here. G/L at your apt. Thanks again with how sweet and supportive you have been during my rough week. :)

what time is your appointment? the parade doesn't start until 12, and the rally goes until 5( although we all know it'll be even later!)

It's /wedding/ anniversary #1. As opposed to exchanging-rings anniversary (#3?) which comes up in October.

Anniversary #4 passed in December. She's getting precariously close to my longest relationship now.

I'm feeling a LOT better about the follicles now because I had some watery CM this morning when I did my cervical check and I had the beginnings of EWCM this afternoon... so the estrogen is going up which makes me feel good. Last cycle I had EWCM on CD14 also but I had a 19mm. WTF is up with that? Maybe tomorrow I will find out that my ovaries freakishly expanded their follicles in 2 days and I will have multiple 20+ers ready to go!

I hope you don't have to miss your vacation. It's so frustrating how this stuff has to take over our lives when most people would just make sure to knock boots a lot during their vacations!

But yeah, your perspective is great and I am glad to know you!

Well, we thought about that. My appointment /should/ be over by 9:45 (depending how packed the Waltham weekend clinic is... never been there on a Saturday) and we'd considered getting there around 11:45 and juuuuuuust making it. We're concerned about two things, though:

1. That since we will be getting there right around parade time, parking/navigating will be a total nightmare.
2. That we'll be thoroughly exhausted by the time we have to drive back in the evening since we have to get up early to get to Waltham. (We were going to head to N'ton this evening.)

So we'll probably just kick it around here. Maybe next year!

1.park in a smith lot. they don't enforce, but most non-smithies don't know that.

2. are you 30, or 80? live a little! (spoken by someone who thoroughly plans on being in bed in the next half hour!)

1. Thanks for the tip on the Smith lots. I will keep that in mind for the future.

2. We're 80. And we're now committed to go to a birthday party tomorrow that we were originally going to skip for Pride. And visit my grandparents on Sunday. So it all worked out.
