I know it was actually probably very annoying, and almost infuriating maybe in real life, but that description of the brand new hygienist was HI-LAR-IOUS. I mean, it's really funny to imagine the spinner thing being totally out of control. Or maybe I just have a really childish sense of humor.
I pride myself on my good dental care too, and I would be incensed if someone commented on my (stellar) gums. Give that dentist a good punch from me.
