So how cute are they?
Aug. 27th, 2006 09:32 pmThis has been a pretty uneventful weekend. I trekked out to my aunt and uncle's place in central Mass to celebrate my grandmother's 84th birthday (which is today). I went to Konditor Meister earlier in the day to pick up the most delicious carrot cake I have ever tasted. My aunt made me take the rest home (evil) so I brought it to my downstairs neighbors (also evil).
This afternoon, Jen and I braved the mall because she needed some new shirts for work. Most of the shirts she's been wearing week in and week out are not my favorites and I don't find them terribly professional... so we got her three shirts and two pairs of pants. And then she conned me into getting a shirt, a skirt, and a pair of dress pants on clearance at Filene's Basement. And Sims 2!
I started playing Sims 2 but holy cow, it's a lot more complicated and uses a LOT more resources (memory and battery). It's going to be a lot of fun, though! I'm not 100% on all of the changes but I'm sure I'll be spending some time figuring it out.
We were going to catch a movie with Marti Maraschino but the one movie Marti and I both wanted to see (Quincenera) was only playing at 10pm. So, no.
It's COLD tonight - rainy and damp and bitter. I made grilled cheese sandwiches and vegetable soup for dinner. We are SO six years old in the fall - school shopping and grilled cheese!
My grandparents are quite possibly the cutest people in the history of the planet.

Date: 2006-08-28 04:10 am (UTC)Miss you, too.
I'm not 100% on the Sims changes, either, but you get used to them after a while. Let me know what you think once you've gotten used to it.
And for something funny, let someone's social get down to zero sometime. It's pretty amusing.
