I am having a hard time not getting prematurely excited about this:

august chart">

I know that testing too early sets me up for the possibility of false negatives, but I am going stir crazy. If my temp is in the 98s tomorrow, I am totally going for it.

p.s. I love charts. And math.

I would give it a yes, if you have similar luteal phases to me, by day 9 i would've been starting on the downswing. I was pretty sure I was pregnant with Maylie by day 9. Didn't get a positive until day 14 though. That's why charting's awesome but nearly impossible once you have a kid ro two. ;-)

Crap. I hate to be the one that tells you this... But you did an HSG trigger shot didn't you? Worse than a false negative, you may get a false positive.... The prego test look at the same hormone that's in the trigger shots...So you may have to wait.

My luteal phase is 14-15 days, and I don't start dropping until the very end. I'm typically a "slow riser" or whatever but it doesn't usually go up in stair steps like that. (Then again, we HAVE had crazy weather.)

If I test tomorrow I will be 11.5 days past hCG trigger with Ovidrel. And I don't know anyone who's had Ovidrel last that long. Last 2 times I used Ovidrel I got stark-white BFNs at 10dpo.

But yeah, if anything pops up I will sure to not be prematurely excited.

Well you knkow what's typical and I know that if a chart is atypical then that's usually a good thing. Things messing with your sleep can make the chart go all wonky but it still wouldn't do that. I usually had bell curves, and anything that made the bell curve not the same bell curve meant prego. I had a BFN on day 13 too, just fyi. So don't be too anxious to test, or you'll be saying "well it SAYS negative but the chart points to positive". ;-)

Do you have any previous month charts?

You can check them all out HERE (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/10d0e8).

My charts are kind of all over the place re: follicular phase but the luteal phase stuff is fairly similar (in terms of rising a bit and falling late, no bell curve for me)... though this IS a little different. My temps this month in the LP started a heck of a lot lower than usual (97.5 instead of my usual 97.7s) but I think that is because I ovulated in the evening and the progesterone hadn't totally kicked in yet. *shrug*

I am such a nerd when it comes to this stuff.

Ohhh that's good to know. I've always wait until the magic 14 then AF showed up.

Next time I'm going to test at day 12.

I'm crossing my fingers for you girl.

I HATE WAITING!

I had a "possibly triphasic" chart once that came up BFN. So I am trying not to get my hopes up. (It is not working.)

April's kind of looks a little similar. So yeah, wait a couple days...

Sorry. Popped over here from Patti's journal, and I gotta say:

That chart kinda looks tri-phasic, don't it?

(wink :) )

I don't understand a lot of the Frankenbaby stuff, but a chart I can get the gist of and from the looks of it, I think I get why it's hard not to get prematurely excited about this. I'll include a special something for y'all in my prayers tonight. (((hugs)))

Do it! I say test - and remember the cheapo tests sometimes don't show a + early like I discovered so you might need to fork out for an expensive one. That definitely looks tripastic to me - did FF pick it up?

This is probably a stupid question but, are the thermometers really sensitive and accurate enough to decern differences between 1/10 of a degree?

Now come on.. even you have to admit, that chart is.. SCI FI!

Looks very promising! Just to let you know, I got the FAINTEST line at 13DPO with this baby. I know you're so ready to test... just don't give up if, you know...
I'm praying so much for you and thinking of you every day!!!

Yes! I know! I was a total slacker and never got around to charging my camera to take that "SCI FI" picture that you asked for... but what I was GOING to take a picture of was a bunch of charts with all of the pills and injectible medications I've been taking, plus my cool sci-fi thermometer.

Basal body temperature thermometers are ultra sensitive and only register in a certain range (something like 95-100)... mine measures to 1/100 of a degree.

It's quite accurate.

Well, I didn't test today. But I was super anxious about it and really wanted to. Maybe tomorrow...

There aren't TOO many falso negatives at 12dpo. I would go for it. :)

It sure is getting there, innit?

(Trying not to think about it. Or about the fact that my cervix was way up there totally hiding this morning...)
