Junkie

Now that I've done so many shots, I'm becoming a bit of a "shot snob." I definitely prefer the Follistim needles to the Ovidrel needle. The Ovidrel needle is fatter and also seems to "stick" in my skin going through, so I have to apply more pressure and there is resistance. (Maybe I have weird skin?)

All I know is that I would never be a good junkie. But it is kind of funny to have my own personal sharps container in my kitchen.

p.s. Taking a sick day tomorrow for my IUI. Awesomeness. 3 day work week this week, since Monday was our work retreat on the boat. I ended up billing almost 22 hours this week in the three days and I had 3 hours of cancellations (and would have had 3 more hours tomorrow). No wonder I have been so dead this week.

Thanks! Saturday is the bigger day, as there's more likely to be an egg then. But hey, my doctor seems convinced that frozen sperm live 48 hours (dude, SO NOT TRUE) so maybe miracles can happen!

Free day off work!

I know what you mean about the Ovidrel needle... does the same with me. And I also hear you on the sharps container. We have a hard plastic bag with the bio-hazard logo on it.

Fingers crossed for you today. It'll do you some good to come home and put your feet up (before) and after the IUI.

Good luck.

Yay, I'm glad I'm not the only one with sticky skin! The first time I did the Ovidrel shot I didn't have any problems... now I feel like I should be lubing it up!

It IS good to not be at work today. Especially since I woke up sick. AGAIN.

I thought it was just me with the Ovidrel needle, that and by the time I get to use it, my tummy is covered in bruses. Everytime I look at my sharps container I laugh. That and since my dosage is so high I have a billion little needles left over for my pen. I get 5 every time I open a box and at most I need 3 sometimes only 2. I also don't know what I'm going to do with the sharps container when I'm done.

Oh yea good luck. :-)

You can return your sharps container to your doctor's office or to a pharmacy. :)

My container is pretty big, though - it will take me a while to fill up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with "sticky skin"!

I read your first sentence and thought you were talking about alcohol. Then read some more and thought, "I've never heard of these drinks..."

Heh, you're so silly.
