While I would rather be on the sewer system, we have a septic tank and it hasn't been a problem. The key things to remember are:
Get it inspected before you close, obviously you have this covered.
Remember to get it pumped out every so often.
Have the inspector (and then the pumpers) mark where the tank opening is. When we got it pumped I dug a lot of holes and still couldn't find the bloody thing, despite having the measurements - the septic guys located it, but it cost extra.
