Aah, Mom.

Also, my mom still thinks I'm dying. It's so crazy.

When I was with the doctor, I said to him (I am not kidding), "So my mom is being crazy and is worried that I'm going to hemorrhage and die. What can I tell her?" He said, "Tell your mother that you are not dying."

So I call my mom and say, "I'm not dying. The doctor says I am not dying. Okay?" and she says, "If he is wrong, I will sue!"

Sheesh, I knew my mom could get a little, erm, emotional sometimes, but I seriously didn't know it was this bad. She was looking up flights and telling me I was going to hemorrhage and die! I tried to convince her that if I was bleeding enough to hemorrhage I would go back to the doctor, but I think she is dubious. As if I want to die in a puddle of nasty blood.

Just curious...

This is about the 2nd or 3rd time I've ever heard you mention your mom. She's somewhat of a mystery.

Heh, my mysterious mother!

It's because we don't really have a lot of contact with each other. When I was a kid, I lived with my dad and saw her on Saturdays. When I got older, we were a little more in touch but then I moved (to Maine, and Ohio) and when I finally came back to New England, she moved to Myrtle Beach. She's been there for 2.5 years now and I still haven't been out to see her new place. I've actually only seen her once since she moved - she came for a NE visit and spent a couple of nights at our schwank apartment.

If you have any questions, hit me! :)

...you don't...? Who doesn't?

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2006-12-21 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if you insist...

[identity profile] volumeat11.livejournal.com 2006-12-21 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not insisting...I'm just wondering...

(...and trying to make light of a not-so-light situation...)

Well, if I find someone who likes it, I'll totally hook you up!

...erm...what were we talking about?

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2006-12-26 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm pretty sure it was your mom.

...I'd believe that...

Off Subject, Off Track

I had a dream about you and your wife! I dreamt that we all were going to meet you in Hong Kong! We met at some sort of sidewalk with alot of chalk art on it, in front of some 5-star hotel. Ya'll were attending some sort of conference there that you had invited me and whomever I was with. (I don't know who was with me..) Something tells me it was a pen conference or some sort. There were kids around. Dunno who the kids were - because mine were not that young. But there were definitley younger kids - like ages four to six.

Weird, huh? But it was so totally you. (Bec we met before in RL.)

Thought I'd share!!

That's funny! I can't imagine ever going to a pen conference in Hong Kong, but I'm sure it would be all Jen's idea. :) And it's cute that I'm in your dream, especially since I haven't seen you since, shoot, 2001? When we went to [livejournal.com profile] baab's.

Maybe someday we will run into each other again!

Jude,
Just wanted you to know how happy I was to read the great news today. Thanks for the smile.

Hey, anytime. I wish I could bring you good news all the time! :)

That made me laugh out loud. I think your mother is funny.

It's USUALLY pretty funny... but not terribly helpful when you're upset and think you lost your baby and you tell your mom this and she tells you to be careful because you could hemorrhage and die. Uhh, thanks mom.
