Jen just made arrangements for the Pest Control people to come over in two hours and plug up holes in our basement and put down traps that they will re-check in two weeks. For a significant fee.

This is so far removed from what we agreed to do this morning that all I can do is cry. I think about going into the basement and seeing traps with mice in them and I just bawl my eyes out.

You just can't do this to your pregnant wife, people. Let this be a lesson to you.

Would you mind terribly if I made a quilt for your baby? I need a project to get me inspired.

If so, let me know what colors! :)

Well... at least your not poisioning them. Have Jen check the traps daily and maybe you won't have to see them in the traps. :( I'm sorry. You're handling this better then I would. We would be staying at a hotel right now!

There's nothing to be afraid of - it was just one little field mouse from outside! Honestly, I don't think we will get any others, especially if they plug up the holes.

I got her to call them back and say just plug holes, no traps. We can buy our own humane traps that would make me feel better.

I would NEVER poison them. What about the cats?

Wow, Annie... that would be really sweet! But I have no idea what we're using for colors - we totally haven't even thought about it. Bad Moms, I know. :)

Your a better woman then I am!!! I think the combo of plugging the holes and your kitties as deterents should help!

Umm, a gross natural solution I read online?

Put out containers of used kitty litter in the basement. The stink will tell the unwanted guests that you have attack cats and they won't want to come in and play.

Well, our actual cat boxes are IN the basement... and they get used often by our three cats. So that doesn't seem to be working! :)

Maybe I need MORE attack cats!!
