Dear Colorado Rockies:

Are you really the BEST the National League has to offer? Is the National League really that bad?

Love,
Get new pitchers and new batters, kthx

Ahahahahaha!

I'm serious, though! I mean, this was the WORLD SERIES. It should not be a sweep, you know? I'd like to think the teams are evenly matched. But it doesn't seem to be that way, and I don't know why.

I know the Sox are awesome, but do AL teams win the WS more often than NL teams? Does anyone know?

I have no clue about your question, but the Rockies were pitiful. It's cool that we swept a second series, but at the same time I love when it's a high stress game or series. I would have loved for the series to have gone 7 games! It's so much more fun when you don't know who is going to win!

My heart can't handle 7 games, but I could have done 5 or 6!

I don't have time to do the legwork (I'm at work), but here...

Actually, I finally did do a little legwork...

Since 1903, the AL is 61-42, with two cancellations.
Since 1988, the AL is 12-7, with one cancellation.

They WERE pitiful. It was almost uncomfortable for me to watch them flounder, and I don't even like the Rockies. It was embarrassing. You could see that they were stressed and SCARED, and the Sox were so laid-back and cracking jokes and pranks.

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2007-10-29 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it was really kind of sad. I mean, this is the World Series! I wanted (a little bit of) drama in my baseball! The Rockies were sweating and the Sox were talking about tacos and making goofy music in the dugout.

But hey, Josh Beckett is hot.

lowes...

what did you get?!

Jen's parents bought her a snowblower for her birthday. Or as the cute accented delivery guy called it, a "snow thrower." :)
