Dear Daylight Savings Time,

I hate you. For starters, you're a big fat lie. You're not really /saving/ any daylight, you're just making it come during different times - different, SUCKIER times.

Also, my child woke up at 5:15 this morning.

Screw you,
me

Aw!

I'm just happy I won't have to walk in the dark to 7AM clinical anymore. Hopefully she'll adjust over the next few days...

I also had a time change because I was on the west coast all week.

I'm not sleeping and wanting naps at really weird times.

Well at least I getting a lot of knitting done.

hello! I have been enjoying your blog. I also have a baby that is 4 months old and the time change messed everything up! 5:00am is not fun! I totally empathize with a lot of what you are going through. It's a real rollercoaster ride!!! -cleverclogs http://cleverclogsblog.blogspot.com/

Not to be nitpicky, but what happened this weekend brought us back to standard time. Savings is for the summer- now we're pack to status quo with all the places that don't do savings time.

Gosh, I hope I can keep her up like 15 mins later every night until she sorts this out. I might have to resort to turning the television on or something. Ugh.

It's only 1:15 and she is on her THIRD nap. She is so discombobulated.

Well, that's good. Walking in the dark in the morning sucks. I remember that from my crew days. :)

I always hated standard time but this switch really sucks with a baby. She was up at 4 this morning instead of 5. Joy.

We managed to combine the time change with loss of the ONLY pacifier he will take. And of course Target was out of them when we went to go get a new one... so we're dealing with a tired, messed up little man who's going into nook withdrawals, too... *sigh* I hope we find the damn thing soon...

Heh. August hates pacifiers for the most part. She OCCASIONALLY will suck on one if I am rocking her in the rocking chair - for maybe 5 minutes. We have a whole graveyard of pacifiers here that we tried and she discarded. Interested? I think we have at least 7 different brands/styles. ;)

Haha! Yeah, Xander is only fond of the Soothie one that we got from the hospital - the newborn style ONLY. We got him the 3+ month one and he totally freaked out because it's sooo different (way harder). Is she feeling better yet?

I like the whole "gain an hour" thing, I just wish it didn't come with the "get dark at 5pm" thing. (When I lived in northern Maine, it got dark at 3 freaking 30!!) And the "screws with your kid" thing.

However, I am pleased to report that she was back to normal last night - bed at 7:30ish and up around 6:20. Phew.

Love you!

Seems to be. She slept her normal times last night and was up at 6:20, which is more manageable. I'd love for her to sleep until 7, but anything it better than 5:15 for sure.

August had a brief love affair with the Soothie pacifier but she had a hard time holding it in her mouth. It kept falling out, so the love affair ended. It wasn't meant to be!
