Jessica and Luka stopped by briefly this afternoon to say hello and (mostly) to get some baby action. It was a weird day for Punk because we went to visit a day care place (that deserves its own post, ugh) and because she'd slept so late this morning. She was groggy when they arrived and then cried a lot, which is SO not like her (she screams at me, yes, but she doesn't typically actually cry). I think she was freaked out by Luka's cologne because she did the same thing to Jen for a while.

Speaking of Jen, she is made of awesome. No, really. She has been busting her hump around the house getting stuff done and today even got up early to wash all of the bottles and do some laundry. (Her alarm woke me up, but we're not thinking of that.) And she's had a rough time with Punk lately because the Punker has decided that when she is tired and needs resettling, only Mama will do, which is sad for Jen because she'll go to get Punk for a snuggle and instead will get a lot of unhappiness. And instead of giving up, she keeps trying again, which I think is also made of awesome.

i think all babies are like that to a degree with "the other parent". they tend to latch onto one and then freak out when the other comes a'callin'. i'm interested to hear more about the day care thing.

and i do love how good you & Jen are. so jealous, indeed!

Oh, totally. Eventually she will switch and be up Jen's butt for a while. But for now? Nope. It's all me, baby.

CJ would do that want only me thing even to the point where he starved to death (and cried ALOT) while I was a work because he refused to take a bottle from Chris. But tell Jen it gets better now he wants nothing to do with me and only mama will do.

I am kind of nervous about having to send her to child care. I know that kids eventually figure this stuff out but umm, yeah, nervous.

And I am kind of excited about the prospect that some day Jen will be her best buddy. :)
