Waking the Baby

We have a pedi appointment at 10:30. It takes about 15 minutes to get there, which means we should be out the door at 10:15.
It is 10:09 and she is still sleeping from her nap. She went down late and had a tough time settling, so she only fell asleep around 9:35. I /have/ to wake her up in a minute so I can get her dressed and diapered and stuffed into her car seat.
I have never woken her up. Well, not since we had to wake her every two hours to force-feed her, which was Teh Suck. I really go out of my way to not wake a sleeping baby. And now I have to. And it SUCKS.
It's 10:10. I guess I really need to go in there. Suck.

Date: 2008-01-23 01:23 am (UTC)I was with a friend from my birth class yesterday, and she brought her super laid back baby who is a month younger than Punk. After about two or three hours together, we were riding in the car on the way to the thrift store and she said, "I gotta tell you, Jude, your parenthood is a lot harder than mine." Heh.
She actually was just waking up when I went in. I guess in some ways it's good to have a crap napper? ;)
