Creeping Crud

judecorpLife with a mobile baby is fun but hard. Hard because I have to come up with new strategies to do things like go to the bathroom or make something in the kitchen. Especially because she does not like to be restrained or contained in any way. Was my kid a prisoner in a previous life or something?
But man, it's a hoot. Yesterday I was sitting on the couch watching her bat a toy around and crawl after it. I sat there and thought, "Hunh. I have four cats."

We seem to have the Creeping Crud. I don't know where we might have gotten it, but there it is. Punk actually had some sleep last night (instead of the previous two nights where she basically cried all night, poor baby) and seems in good spirits today aside from the junky nose. But now I have a cruddy throat. And because a "good night" for Punk lately is 5 wake-ups instead of 10+, I am too tired to shake this thing. Blarg. Although I've got to give her some credit - after three wake-ups right after putting her down for the night, she ended up sleeping like a rock in her crib from just before 9pm until 1am. I don't think she's slept 4 hours solid in the crib in a very long time. I went into her room at 10ish and slept on the futon thinking she would be awake at any minute. And then it was 1am. Wow!
