kungfoogirl arrived on Wednesday evening around 9pm or so. We got the dog settled fairly quickly and things were great. We tooled around in my room keeping the dog calm and otherwise catching up and having a good time. Very nice. Sleeping was a challenge because the dog (wonderful yet excited) kept jumping around and couldn't decide where to sleep. On the bed? Off the bed? Decisions, decisions.
Thursday morning we got up and wasted a whole big bunch of time and then headed out to Cary's house, where we proceeded to make a delicious meal of cornish game hens, mashed potatoes, stuffing, asparagus, corn muffins, and pumpkin pie. Yummy. Very yummy. We watched "The Karate Kid" (provided by the ninja) and "Sneakers." It was basically just a really relaxed time. Scout got along great with Cary's dog Rusalka. The only problem was that Scout got a little /too/ excited and peed on Cary's kitchen floor, his living room rug, and his sofa. Bad Scout!
We were /exhausted/ by the time we left Cary's house. We got home around 11pm and promptly proceeded to lights out. Scout was wiped out, too, and spent the night quietly sleeping on the floor by the bed. Good doggie!
This morning we slept in. I let Scout out and then we got dressed to take her to Whetstone Park for a long walk/run. She got to play with other dogs and we got to do lots of walking with held hands, which is always nice. And the way the sun was shining, there was a great shadow of two grrls and a dog. :) We came back for a bit and then went to Johnny Rockets for lunch (I'm hooked now,
hopemcg!), and then we picked up
zarabeth so the two of them could go to coffee. While they did that, I walked to Yankee Trader and got two things: a bicycle chain necklace and a black headband that says "NINJA" on it, for The Ninja, of course.
We just dropped Zara off, and now it's time to hit the shower to go out tonight. If you're lucky, I'll turn on the cam when we're all squeaky clean!

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for each and every one of you. Your experiences are my experiences, and your lessons are my lessons. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and learnings with me, that I could benefit from them this year. I love you all.
