Theorizing that one could time travel within his own lifetime, Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap Accelerator... and vanished. He awoke to find himself trapped in the past, chasing mirror images that were not his own, and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. His only guide on this journey is Al, an observer from his own time, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Sam can see and hear. And so Dr. Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap... will be the leap home.

Quantum Leap!

Unfortunately, his last leap was so far in the future that he's stuck commanding a star ship for a few seasons.

By far my favourite show ever. I even have a T-shirt with that opening written out on it. Ah. Sigh. Happy feelings.

(Bring it out on DVD and I'm DOOMED)

I have the pilot episode on DVD... but my goodness, the whole series? Even better if I could pick and choose. Starting with the vampire episode, and then all the ones where Sam sings... mmmmmm. Yeah.

[livejournal.com profile] rizzo41 had made a tshirt that had the title logo on it with the dates of production. I miss that shirt. :(

I'd definitely have the vampire episode, plus the Hallowe'en one with the devil - although there's so many I would pick it'd be hard to keep it affordable. But pick your episodes DVDs - what a winner of an idea :-)

I think my T-shirt was official (in the UK at least) as it said OH BOY on the front (still does actually, I keep my t-shirts forever). I also have a really great Quantum Leap book put out after the 3rd series which lists all the episodes, by airing date and chronologically, and has neat stuff like Sam & Al's resumes. I love it and it's right by my computer at the moment (because it doesn't fit with most of my books). I wish they'd done an updated one though.

Happy memories.

I need the soundtrack first. I used to listen to it all the time in college because my roommate had it, but when we moved on (*sniff sniff*), I only had the "Man of La Mancha Medley" on tape. I need to pick up the disk someday, that's for sure.

I think if I had the whole entire series on DVD that I would fry my brain, seriously. It would be pleasant, though.

Your shirt sounds really cool, and I wish I could get my hands on that book. I don't know why I'm so addicted to QL when I detest so much sci-fi. Weird. :)

They're both on Amazon (soundtrack and my cool book, by Chudnovic or something like that, called 'The Quantum Leap book' and available for $6 used).

Not bad.

I think QL would make a great RPG or computer game.

Oooh!

I may have to break my "no buying myself presents until after the holidays" rule!

A QL computer game? I might actually play one if that were the case. :)
