She woke up at 1:16pm.

One hour and five minutes after she fell asleep.

I don't understand it. She napped for - wait for it - four and a half hours at day care yesterday. FOUR AND A HALF HOURS! From 9 - 11:30, then ate lunch, played for a bit, and slept from 1:30 to 3:20.

WTF, people?

Whoa - Roo has never napped for more than an hour-ish. Never. 4 hours?!

I know, right? She has napped here for 3 hours a couple of times (2 1.5 hour naps) but usually it's more like an hour 15 or an hour. But she ALWAYS naps twice and has never fought a nap quite like that. It's gotta be teeth.

Guess she misses you when she's not home... Or she's going through a schedule adjustment?

I think (hope?) it's teeth related. I think the newfound separation anxiety might be kicking it up a wee notch but I really do think it involves teeth. She has a HUGE bulge on the bottom that I originally thought was a molar but might be a canine (or worse, both) and it is just RIPE.

Good times.

She was excited to see you and couldn't sleep of course! She just wants her mama.

On another note, I need to meet your kid!

I wouldn't want to miss a single minute of time with you, either. She's a smart one, that Punk.

(side note: that originally got typed out "Puck." My fingers, they type with their own mind)

That's funny, because whenever I have gone to type "Puck" I always type "Punk!" :)

You should come over and play!

Maybe she'll go back to sleep?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha NO. I actually left her in there for a while hoping she would drop back off, and when she got loud and I went in there, she was walking around the crib just as happy as could be.

She actually kept it together well for the rest of the day, I have to say. She was a bear going down at night and was likely overtired, and then woke up about an hour later and was in hysterics. I think it's teething - when she's in pain, she wants mama all the time. I loaded her up with motrin and teething tablets and gave her a bottle (I didn't give her one before bed because she had just eaten dinner - she wouldn't eat for Jen so I fed her a little later) and she is asleep now. I hope it sticks for a while.

Yikes. Maybe she is napping TOO much at daycare?

I don't know why the heck she's been sleeping so much at daycare lately, except that she hasn't been sleeping well at night. I think some of it is teething and some of it is reverse cycling (wanting to spend time with me in the middle of the night). Who knows? Good thing I don't require a lot of sleep. ;)
