My kid is amazing. Seriously, she amazes me with something every single day. Some of the funniest and cutest and smartest things she is doing lately include:
1. She is always wanting me to sit with her these days. She will pat the floor/couch/chair/whatever next to her and yell, "Sit! Sit! Sit! Mama! Mama! Sit! Mama! Sit! Sit!" over and over again. It's part cute and part 'oh gosh, do i have to sit in her toddler chairs again?'
2. Usually she will start her bowl of applesauce/yogurt with a spoon and then when it gets too low for her to scrape up, she will move to fingers. Today she picked up her little bowl and tipped it so that the applesauce slid down to one end, and then used the spoon. What a smarty!
3. Also, today she pointed to my Dunkin Donuts 'sippy cup' and said, "coffee! coffee!" (cah-ee, cah-ee) I didn't even know she knew it was coffee! I am so proud.
4. She adds at least one new word every day. It is so awesome. I love it. She has so many words, it is amazing. I am used to working with kids with delays, especially language delays, so sometimes it is shocking.
5. She used to just say "ABC! ABC!" when she wanted the alphabet song or the ABC book or some letters to play with, but now sometimes she will say "ABCDEFG!" Crazy.
6. She can do her farm puzzle pretty much all by herself. I can't find the chicken, though. Oops.
That's probably enough bragging for one post.

Date: 2008-12-21 07:44 am (UTC)I have to keep telling myself that even though Vivi's vocab is nowhere near Greg's at 17 mos and her signing even is nowhere near what Maylie's was, that it won't matter in 5 years. Vivi babbles nonsense stuff, nods her head yes and no, and says around 5-10 intelligible words (let's see... ball, daddy, mommy, dog, 'bad mommy', don't, baby, shoes, hello, bye bye. then she does do some signs), while Greg had like 100 words and Maylie was the signing queen.
