And then it was time for the second part of our Day of Fun! We went to Piercology to go get pierced. Yippee!! Coworker Hope went first, to get her tongue done. She was very brave and took it like a real trooper. Especially when Dave the Piercer looked like he was going to cry and announced that he overcompensated and it was a little crooked and could he maybe try again? She let him take it out and do it a second time. She is such a stud for that. Whoo!
Then it was my turn, yay! I have wanted an industrial for a long time, and my right ear is pretty neglected and boring (since I have a colorful conch in my left ear), so it was time. It was an interesting experience, first to have my cartilage poked twice one after another (the second one already with the heat of histamine and blood), and second to have to have the barbell maneuvered into the second hole (that part stung a little bit, jiggling in a brand new pierce). It looks /wonderful/ and I'm throughly psyched about it. I have a headache on that side, though. Hee. I'm feeling really good about it - it's saucy! I really /really/ like it. I like Piercer Dave. THANKS, PIERCER DAVE!! :) He even let us take pictures and go in together and stuff like that. Very cool. I like Piercology a lot, though they're a touch pricey, because they're obnoxiously clean, very thorough, and since they only do piercings (no tattoos), they really know what they're doing.
[Editor's note: Pictures will follow when they get uploaded and stuff.]
