No sleep til...

My child no longer wants to go to sleep, ever, and I want to claw my eyes out and scream. It's like she's an infant all over again, where she won't nap unless I am holding her or in some way restraining her. And at bedtime, she's all over the place, doing all kinds of things, often not falling asleep until after 9pm. For a brief period of time, I had a kid that slept. What the heck happened?

I am hoping this is one of those things called "a phase." Because if it's not, there might be "a homicide."

oooooh yes it's a phase. we went through it and made it through. i found they usualy coincide with a growth spurt or a molar or something. good luck. i feel you.

I am seriously going to kick someone's ass.

I just set up the freaking pack and play in there and stuffed her in it and left. At least no one can say she's not sleeping because there are too many fun toys.

When she doesn't sleep, it just makes me so freaking angry! I don't know why it pushes my buttons so badly but it does. ARRGGGHHHH!

Right there with ya. I have such a hard time with this one. It makes me mad and frustrates the crap out of me. I feel like I should go to therapy to deal with the anger I get about it.

I'm so sorry he's screaming! Punk never screams, she just futzes around in there for hours and hours.

I am SO putting the crib back together tomorrow. Eff this noise. At least if she is carrying on and not sleeping it won't be because there's something more fun to do! :)

It's this daylight savings shit. Zach's being his usual awesome about falling asleep, but he was up an hour too soon and wanted to be up sooner than that. and tonight he was SO exhausted by the time we started bath/dinner, that it was ridiculous. He was losing his mind by sleep time. I think it's the time change plus the sun going down sooner anyway. He's like a reverse vampire...once the sun's gone, he's toast.

I hope you get your sleeping girl back! Hopefully she'll sleep through, though I suspect her desire not to be murderiated will keep her quiet... ;)

This is why Emma is still in her crib! There are some nights she will talk and play in there for an hour - every now and then even two but it's usually short lived.

C did really great without a crib and then for a period of a month she'd get out of bed and play for a LONG while. Then the greatness of getting out of bed wore off and she stopped.

Now we have a different problem. While we were on the road and in temporary lodging she slept with me. Now she throws fits about going to sleep somewhere other than my bed. Or she has demands. Music Off! No gate! Lamp on! Music on! Lamp off!
