Jan. 16th, 2002 08:49 pmI will LJ-cut them if, like, there's someone who doesn't want to know. I'm so thoughtful that way. You all put forth a valiant effort. Highest props to Jennifer and Jodie.
Answers:
1. Jude's parents' names are: Richard and Janice. Joseph is my grandfather, and my uncle. I have no idea who Rachel and Jackie are. 12/27 of you answered correctly.
2. My brother has called me all of the following EXCEPT: Zwieback. "Bright Like Stick" was the name he gave me after watching Dances With Wolves. Judabaga is a spin-off of his online name (Rutabaga). He calls me Judaroo when he's feeling silly, and I have no idea how many times he's said, "Hey, dork." In high school, my best friend in the universe (along with the other people in my core group of friends) called me Zwieback, because I was "a baby biscuit." 5 guessed correctly. 11 of you said Bright Like Stick.
3. The stuffed animal I love is named: VampCow (Vampy for short). He is named for a Far Side cartoon ("thwarting the vampcow"), because he has red eyes. His best friend's name is Panoo - that's Luke's panda bear. Milton was a hamster I had as a kid. I have a Piglet doll and a Devil Doll, but they are no match for Vampy. 17/27 - good job!
4. I know how to play this musical instrument: recorder. I learned to play the recorder in my first year at Hofstra in Music 001. I was determined to learn to read music if it killed me (I have a serious mental block against processing written music.). It didn't kill me. I learned. I still play it once in a while. 9/27 of you got that right.
5. My favorite Sanrio character is: Keroppi. 7 of you got it right. 7 of you said Hello Kitty (who I like, but is not my favorite). 8 of you said Badtz Maru. He annoys me. I guess you all think I'm goth.
6. When I grow up, I want to be a: professional activist. Absolutely. 17 of you got it right. 8 said therapist. Suckers!
7. My big high school crush's name was: Monique Fournier. Baga also liked her in high school. I told her when we were in college. I kissed her on my wedding night. David Marciniak was a boy I dated in high school. He is the boy I wrote the "Heart. Mind. Clitoris." story about. Natalie LaBine was my best friend in elementary school. Louis Sackal was a boy I went to high school with. Michelle Roy was my best friend in high school. She was Flea's big high school crush. Looking back, though, I know I was interested in her. (But don't all straight girls cuddle with their friends on their beds?) 6 got it right. 12 of you guessed Dave.
8. My valedictory speech quoted: Shel Silverstein. I used two of his poems from Where the Sidewalk Ends - "The Snowman" and "Listen to the Mustn'ts." I tricked 10 of you with my man Jack Kerouac, but 12 of you guessed correctly.
9. My favorite member of the A-Team is: B.A. Baracus. DUH. It's Mr. T, suckahs! 5 of you picked Hannibal. 5 picked Murdock, probably because I'm crazy. 2 picked Face, and 4 picked Amy (why?). 11 of you were successful. Cha-ching!
10. The "Summer of Suck" is partially named because: My apartment building caught fire. This was a trick question. 19 of you picked All of the Above. BZZT! I am not divorced yet. (And my grandfather didn't have a heart attack. My dad did. In December.) There were other things that happened in the "Summer of Suck" (my father-in-law died, among other things), but they weren't in the list. 4 of you were correct.
